Gyrotonic

Gyrotonic® is a method of exercise developed in the 1970's that is aimed at encouraging Range of Movement. The system uses pullies, weights and rotational discs to encourage circular movement of the joints. The philosophy being that the circular movements emphasise work in the joints without compression and therefore increasing stamina, flexibility and strength. Gyrotonic® places emphasis on breath and flow throughout its whole body workout so that you can achieve a cardiovascular workout whilst supporting your joints. The method systematically moves the body through a  series of circular motions, opening areas that are bound and tight.

We have the Gyrotonic® equipment at our West End, Annerley and Chelmer studios.

The goals of Gyrotonic® training include:

-  increased flexibility and range of motion

- back pain reduction

- weight loss

- enhanced athletic performance

- muscular imbalance correction

- injury recovery and prevention

- Osteoporosis prevention

Gyrotonic® is conducted in a one to one , one hour session or in small class environments. We have four certified level one teachers and 4 apprentice teachers working at our studios.

We also offer Gyrotonic® Express Classes, with up to 3 participants for 30 minutes. Express classes are at the West End Studio only.
