The Pilates and Healing Centre respects the privacy of its clients. We have adopted the following guidelines in order to inform you about how information gathered by our various practitioners is used and not used to assist you in protecting your privacy.

If you register for courses or classes, sign up for catalogs, subscribe to newsletters, purchase products, or otherwise deal directly with the Pilates and Healing Centre, your contact information and a transaction history will be kept by Pilates and Healing. This information will be used to send you Pilates and Healing communications, such as catalogs and e-mails, informing you of upcoming events. E-mail addresses and telephone numbers are never sold, rented, or disclosed to third parties. Names and residential addresses are not provided to any person or organization unless we have received your prior consent. For example you may meet someone at a course and ask us for their contact details. We will not provide them to you unless we have contacted the other person and confirm that it is OK to pass on your personal information.

Treatment and therapies

Pilates and Healing provides the relevant name and details to each therapist. The therapist will gather your names and residential addresses and this information is kept by us as part of our billing information, and will be used to send you information such as newsletters. You can notify us that you do not want any newsletters or specific information.

Some therapists gather additional information during the course of your treatment. This information eg about medical conditions, treatment and family history are regarded as confidential. This information is not shared with other therapists or individuals, in the Centre or with outside therapists, unless you have consented to the provision of this information. For example you maybe seeing a pilates practitioner and a massage therapist at the centre. The various therapists will only talk to each other about your body needs and injuries only if you provide your consent. The information shared is only for the purposes of providing a more holistic treatment.

If you are undertaking pilates your information is gathered, and notes are made about exercises, muscle problems and postural problems. We will also make notes about medical information. This information is shared amongst the pilates teachers working at Pilates and Healing only for the purposes of providing you with the best possible pilates class. Eg pilates teachers may discuss programs or exercises amongst themselves if they are trying to find a solution to your postural or muscular problems. This information is not shared with non pilates teachers at the Centre unless you have provided your consent.

Website

1. Pilates and Healing gathers data from visitors to its website that is primarily used for system administration, compilation and analysis of anonymous user statistics, and site development. Pilates and Healing does not share this information with third parties except as disclosed below.

2. Information gathered on the site is kept on the secure dedicated servers of Anchor Pty Ltd, a website hosting company. Registration information, including credit card numbers, is sent from our hosting service to Pilates and Healing by encrypted e-mail.

3. When a survey appears on the Pilates and Healing site, participants may be asked to supply personal information, such as name, e-mail address, and/or phone number. This information will only be used to notify participants of results. Survey information is collected, compiled, and analyzed on an aggregated basis that does not allow for the identification of any individual, except if otherwise stated.

4. A cookie is an element of data that a website can send to your browser that your browser may then store on your system. You can set your browser to notify you when you receive a cookie and decide on a case-by-case basis whether to accept cookies or not. Cookies are used on the Pilates and Healing site by our site-traffic analysis provider, for statistical site-traffic analysis only. A cookie is also used by visitors to our Pilates and Healing Shop online to keep track of a "session" while visitors are adding to their shopping cart. As in the case of registrations, an encrypted e-mail is sent from our host to the Pilates and Healing shop for order processing.
