Gyrotonic® is a method of exercise developed in the 1970's it is aimed at encouraging Range of Movement. The system uses pullies, wights and rotational discs to encourage circular movement of the joints. The philosphy being that the circular movements emphasize work in the joints without compression and therefore increasing stamina, flexibility and strength. Gyrotonic® places emphasis on breath and flow throughout its whole body workout so that you can achieve a cardiovascular workout whilst supporting your joints. Gyrotonic® is conducted in a one to one , one hour session. |
